Big Water Grille (Incline Village, Nevada)

Fine dining comes served with spectacular views at Big Water Grille. Wall-to-wall windows open up onto the gorgeous panorama outside, enchanting in any season, whether winter snow has dusted the evergreen trees right outside and the Sierra Nevada Mountains across the lake, or the setting summer sun is coloring this beautiful body of water in fiery colors. Inside, it’s all about the food, creations to be savored while relishing the beautiful setting.

Fork and KnifeTry This: Choose a bottle of red or white from more than 100 wines from around the world, perhaps a local California Chardonnay or an Argentinean Malbec. Begin your sumptuous repast with a salad of poached bosc pears and butter lettuce with gorgonzola, arugula, toasted pecans, and a cider vinaigrette. The pork chop with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes is a solid entrée, but you might also like the pan-roasted five-spice duck breast with stir-fried farro, sautéed fennel, broccolini, toasted peanuts, and a Thai orange-cherry sauce. For dessert, I indulged in a Meyer lemon cheesecake with oatmeal graham crust, strawberries, and candied lemon — the best cheesecake ever. Cap off the evening with one of the signature martinis, like the wonderful key lime martini.
