The Beacon Bistro, Boston, Massachusetts

Fifty-two stories above the streets of Boston, I slowly made my way around the 360° observation level at View Boston. This experience at one of the tallest buildings in New England guarantees you the best views in the city. From here, you can look directly down at Trinity Church and Old South Church, the ordered streets of Beacon Hill, Fenway Park, the Charles River, Boston Common, Boston Harbor, Cambridge, and beyond.

Once I had completed my leisurely loop, I decided to extend my visit with a late lunch here, at The Beacon Bistro. Despite its touristy nature, prices are quite reasonable, and on a weekday afternoon, I was just about the only person there, so I was easily catered to with prompt, sharp service. And you won’t get a better view anywhere in Boston to go along with your meal.

Fork and Knife

Try This: Begin your lunch with the house meatballs with whipped ricotta, pomodoro sauce, basil, and parmesan cheese, along with some garlic toast. Then dig into the “cowboy burger”— a couple of four-ounce beef patties with cheddar cheese, bacon, whisky maple BBQ sauce, and crispy fried onions, served with a side salad of mixed greens, cucumbers, red onions, grape tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette.

I’d Love to Hear From You!

Have you been here? Have I inspired you to go? Let me know!
