Route 66 SignNow that COVID-19 has made trains, planes, and buses a sketchy way to travel and no one wants to be confined anywhere near a stranger without a mask in a metal container with recirculated air, good ol’ road trips are back in fashion. One of the best get-in-your-car-and-go destinations in the United States is Route 66. The “Mother Road” of America has inspired books, articles, songs, movies, and museums since it opened for traffic in 1927. To experience its magnetic allure, I headed out on part of the famed road in Oklahoma, the state that holds more miles of the route than any other. Read about it >
